Little Endless Nights
Interactive Animation | Maya  | Substance Painter | ZBrush | Unity
Little Endless Nights was an interactive animation I created as my senior thesis project at UMass Lowell. It was a nonlinear story told through the perspective of a child haunted by the “monster in the closet." Each animation had a physical card attached to it that, when placed on a portal, triggered the relevant story point. The assets were made through Maya, Substance Painter, and ZBrush, and the program was built in Unity in collaboration with an undergrad from the CS department within my College.
Sunshine
Sunshine was the final monster design by popular vote. His design was meant to convey the fear of the unknown. The "unknown" is designed in how he has no face, how his body is lanky, decayed, yet still muscular. It's meant to look semi-normal at a glance but become more "wrong" as you look closer.
Alternative Concepts
Some of the other original concepts for the monster designs, from left to right: Fear of Injury, Fear of subjugation, & Fear of futility
The Bedroom
The room within the animation was modeled after my childhood bedroom
